About Us

Keleah’s Early Learning & Development Terrigal is situated at 13 Belar Avenue Terrigal. The centre is licenced for 25 children. The first entrance is into the birth-3-year-old playroom & adjoining cot room that caters for 9 children. The larger playroom caters for 16 children from ages 3-6 year olds. Our newly renovated outdoor environment gives ample opportunity for the children to explore and investigate, creating many learning experiences for the children in our care. We are open 51 weeks of the year excluding public holidays from 7:00am - 6:00pm, Monday - Friday.

Why Choose Us?

Our qualified staff are dedicated and passionate about their roles as educators as they help  foster the early development of the children in their care. We believe families are the first and most important educators in a child’s life and at Keleah’s we aim to continue that quality of care by creating a warm, caring environment that gives each individual child the opportunity to Be, Belong & Become to their full potential.

Our Curriculum

Keleah’s Early Learning and Development is committed to providing high quality care and education for all the children in our care. Our curriculum is based from the foundations outlined in the Early Years Learning Framework which has been developed collaboratively by the Australian and state and territory governments with substantial input from the child care and early learning sector and early childhood academics.

We encourage open and regular communication with Parents and Guardians and keep families updated by posting important news and upcoming events.

Yearly portfolios of your child’s development will be collated from the learning stories, observations, photos and reflections created and can be be accessed by Parent’s at anytime throughout the year. Keleah’s staff facilitate learning by programming, observing and documenting your child’s progress based on sound developmental knowledge.  Our Centre participates in the National Quality Standards and the Early Years Learning Framework. The portfolios will be presented to you at the end of the year.

What to bring?

Food

We will provide healthy meal choices for morning & afternoon tea as well as water and milk. Please provide a healthy lunch for your child and drink bottle and label the containers with your child’s name clearly on the front.

The food your child eats directly affects their behaviour and concentration. Please ensure that food brought to care is healthy and that you provide enough food for your child.

Children are encouraged to develop self-help skills wherever possible. Please provide appropriate utensils for their use.

NB: PLEASE NO PEANUT BUTTER/FOOD CONTAINING NUTS

Some children have severe allergic reactions to nuts. This can be life threatening. As some children will accidentally pick up another child’s food, there is a potential risk of them having an allergic reaction.

Clothing

Please ensure your child is appropriately dressed before commencing care for each day. Keleah’s provides sunscreen and shaded play areas. Pack the following items for each day:

  • A complete change of clothes, including a warm jumper in case of cold weather
  • Extra underpants
  • Wipes, lotions or nappies if you require your child to use your own
  • A broad brimmed hat

Please provide the following for rest/sleep time on the first day of care for the week:

  • Sheets
  • Blanket
  • Comforter if required (i.e. dummy, teddy) please note all dummies must have a cover or be in a sealed container.

Bedding will be returned to you at the end of the week for washing unless it requires washing earlier.
